Funky fabulous full saturated colors will be the focus of the class. It will be all about experimenting with a bolder palette, exploring new techniques and having fun.
Bring a piece you have already started, or design a new one.

EMALINE CREWEL

Cec has been hooking for 30 years and has been a certified McGown instructor since 2004. She has taught coast to coast in Canada and in Oregon, leading workshops in design and creativity, oriental, traditional hooking, portraits, crewel and dyeing. She has also instructed with Continuing Education in Edmonton.

Cec is active in many fibre organizations – president of the Edmonton Rug Hooking Guild from 2004 – 2007 and 2014 – 2016, and member of the Focus on Fibre Arts Association.
Her rugs have been published in Rug Beat Rug Hooking magazine, four Celebrations Magazines, including being the “cover girl” with Dance of Life in 2004. One of her pieces was voted Readers’ Choice for original design.
Cec is one of several textile artists featured in a textile arts book, ’Compendium’, published by UPPERCASE magazine.
Her rugs have been exhibited in the Edmonton Art Gallery, Alberta Crafts Council, Royal Alberta Museum and Focus on Fibre Arts, receiving numerous awards; she received ‘Best in Show’ and ‘Best in Category’ with Focus on Fibre Arts. In January 2016, The Royal Alberta Museum purchased one of her rugs for their permanent collection.
